Internet Explorer in Windows 10 isn't obvious since Microsoft favors the Edge browser, but it is there and doesn't require any download. You can find Internet Explorer in Windows 10 through search, in the start menu, or using Cortana. Pinning Internet Explorer to the taskbar is the easiest way to keep it handy in Windows 10. Normally, malware and adware are injecting add-ons onto the browser in order to redirect web sites or display unwanted pop-up ads. As long as adware and any potentially unwanted program are present on Internet Explorer, the whole system it at risk. Additional adware can be downloaded automatically using scripts embedded on the browser.   1. Click the Tools icon in the upper-right corner of Internet Explorer. (The icon looks like a gear.)


  2. In the pop-up menu that appears, click Manage Add-ons.


  3. In the dialog box that appears, select Toolbars and Extensions.

    Select Tools and Extensions as the Add-on Types from Manage Add-ons dialog box.

  4. In the list of Add-ons, look for 'Shockwave Flash Object' (another name for Flash Player).

    In the Status column, check to see whether Shockwave Flash Object is Disabled. If it is disabled, click the row for Shockwave Flash Object to highlight it.

  5. In the lower-right corner of the Manage Add-ons dialog box, click Enable.
